Ingredients
2 cups chopped veggies such as mushrooms, broccoli, zucchini, green peppers and onions
1/2 cup low fat milk
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1.5 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Swiss)
1 pie shell
1 cup white sauce (use any white sauce)
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350F for 10 minutes. On the other side, ready your baking sheet.
- Take a bowl and add the veggies and 1/2 cup water to it. Put this bowl in the microwave and cover it with parchment paper. Boil it for 4 minutes in the microwave. Then take out a bowl from the microwave and drain out the water from it and put them aside.
- Take a separate large bowl, and add the garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix them properly. Then put the veggies and cheese in it. Mix it completely with the spices.
- Put this stuff on the pie crust and sprinkle some extra cheese on it.
- Transfer the pie crust to the baking sheet. Bake it for 35 minutes. You can bake it until the crust gets golden brown. After the baking is done, cool down the crust for 15 minutes
- The last step is to slice the pie crust and serve it. Enjoy this vegetarian quiche.
